Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A current DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Screen visitors, vendors, and/or staff in accordance with post orders, maintain required logs, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with notifications, documentation, and security-related response steps.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional security-related attention.
