As a Security Officer Driver Credential Control in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a smooth flow of visitors, employees, and deliveries. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points for pedestrian and/or vehicle entry, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to docks, gates, yards, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Support the flow of inbound and outbound traffic by checking visitors in and out, maintaining accurate logs, and assisting with access-related questions for trailers, freight movement, and facility operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to entry points, parking areas, loading zones, and other locations based on site conditions.
