Requirements

  • A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA, DPSS, and/or DHS requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related protocols for staff, visitors, and authorized vendors at a government location.
  • Verify identification, process visitor entry and exit, maintain access records, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter entry points.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, access control concerns, and conditions that may require a security-related response.
  • Support intake and screening procedures by following post orders, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
