About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support authorized access for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, credential verification, and/or entry point screening at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and document the movement of employees, contractors, deliveries, and guests, helping to support authorized access and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity to the appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, with awareness that working environments and conditions may vary across the site.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and communication records related to access activity, incidents, and security-related concerns, while working collaboratively with site personnel and/or first responders as needed.
