About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Operations in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic tech and communications location. In this role, you will monitor alarms and access activity, coordinate responses to security-related concerns, document incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help support daily operations through teamwork, care for people, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, communication protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor communication systems, receive calls for service, and dispatch personnel to incidents, service requests, and/or priority situations across the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and other security-related activity in logs and reports, and relay updates to site contacts, field personnel, and/or supervisors as needed.
  • Support access control and after-hours coordination by verifying information, communicating instructions, and helping to route security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrol coordination and monitor coverage around the business and perimeter, recognizing that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
