About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Controller in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, document incidents, and help guide timely responses to security-related needs. You will also support access control functions and provide professional customer service. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor communications systems, receive and relay routine and priority calls, and coordinate the dispatch of personnel to reported incidents, service requests, and security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, calls for service, and operational activity in dispatch logs and related reporting systems with clear and timely updates for supervisors and/or site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support timely communication and coordination with on-site personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrol support functions through remote monitoring of cameras, alarms, and access activity, helping to identify unusual conditions around the business and perimeter.
