About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Monitor in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor communications, coordinate responses to security-related activity, and support access and alarm processes. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor communication systems, cameras, alarms, and other site reporting tools to identify unusual activity and help support timely response to incidents and critical situations.
  • Dispatch site personnel and/or appropriate responders to reported issues, service requests, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, activities, and communications in logs and reports, helping to support accurate recordkeeping and follow-up on security-related matters.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter when required, while helping to identify concerns at a technology-focused location.
