Requirements

  • Security-related experience of 1 or more years is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, manage access in accordance with site protocols, and verify visitor and vendor credentials before granting entry to authorized areas.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support badge issuance, visitor logs, and other front desk documentation in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Observe lobby and entry areas for suspicious or unauthorized activity and help to deter disruptions through visible front desk presence and timely reporting.
