About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Associate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk officer at a dynamic media and technology location, you will greet guests, manage access, monitor lobby activity, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This visible role helps to discourage incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Greet employees, guests, and vendors, verify identification and access permissions, issue visitor credentials, and maintain front desk logs and records in accordance with location protocols.
  • Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, cameras, and communication channels to help support a professional front desk presence within a fast-paced media, technology, and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and coordinate with building management and/or client representatives to help support orderly entry, deliveries, and day-to-day front desk operations.
