About The Position

As a Security Officer Customer Service in Oceanside, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while following site-specific procedures and policies.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
Prepare accurate written reports and maintain clear communication with site management, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed.
