As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Agent in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transit location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team and acting with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, public access areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points, observe crowd flow, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns, service disruptions, and unusual conditions.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and/or daily documentation while maintaining a visible presence in assigned areas.
