As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This role involves joining Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors through exceptional customer service and communication. The team is agile, reliable, and innovative, focusing on putting people first, working collaboratively, and acting with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare and research setting.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, badge and sign-in procedures, and escalation of security-related concerns involving restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Support daily operations by observing for hazards, disturbances, and policy violations, and/or communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and first responders when needed.
