About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unauthorized activity, damaged property, and/or conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor information, and help to follow location rules for deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas within an industrial location.
• Support security-related operations by completing required reports, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal supervisors and/or client representatives regarding daily activities and incidents.
