About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Agent in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access awareness, deliver strong customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that values agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government services location by following site-specific procedures, supporting authorized entry activities, and/or assisting with emergency response situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas and perimeter grounds, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and assigned posts, checking credentials when required and directing visitors, staff, and/or vendors according to site policies.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal management and designated site contacts.
