As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Agent in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach while contributing to a reliable, agile, and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, bus areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directional information, and support orderly operations during routine activity, service disruptions, and/or special events.
  • Communicate with site contacts, dispatch, and/or local first responders as needed regarding security-related concerns, suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
