Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will help to identify security-related concerns, maintain a visible presence, and contribute to daily operations through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, observing gates, loading areas, trailers, and other access-sensitive locations.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly site operations by reporting maintenance issues, access irregularities, and other security-related conditions.
