About The Position

As a Security Officer - Credential Review in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control procedures, badging protocols, and other security-related policies at a dynamic technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records, issue temporary credentials as directed, and communicate access-related information to site contacts in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and escalate concerns according to post orders and client instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to doors, gates, lobbies, and other access-sensitive areas where working conditions may vary by site.
