Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming experience. In this role, you will help deter security-related incidents through visibility, communication, and attention to detail while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, manage visitor registration, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and other sensitive locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency personnel, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting potential hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity for reporting.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access records, and support screening, key control, package inspections, and other security-related duties based on site requirements.
