About The Position

As a Security Officer - Credential Check in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while supporting a collaborative workplace. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control access to the location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor check-in requirements in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Monitor entry points, access control systems, and visitor activity; maintain accurate logs and report access-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, perimeter areas, and designated access points to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
