About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Check Point in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will support a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location by managing access points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Observe entry and exit points, loading areas, and restricted work zones to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, and construction-related areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
