As a Security Officer Credential Check in Cape Canaveral, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, complete routine patrols, and help address security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, loading areas, and/or other assigned access points to help manage authorized entry and help to deter unauthorized activity at the location.
• Verify credentials, visitor logs, deliveries, and/or vendor access in accordance with site protocols, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.
