About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Review in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and/or visitor management protocols at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles, and report irregular activity according to site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and/or policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
