Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, observing activity, and communicating clearly with staff, drivers, and visitors.
