About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Courtesy Patrol for an educational location in Middleton, Massachusetts. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, supporting access control, and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors with professional service and communication. The role involves following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities, and maintaining accurate patrol and incident documentation.

The scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM. The pay rate is $21.06 per hour. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate campus personnel or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
