About The Position

The Courtesy Patrol Officer observes and reports incidents occurring on assigned properties, enforces property rules and regulations, and escalates concerns to property management or law enforcement as needed to help protect residents and property. The role also includes maintaining activity and incident reports, communicating with management, cleaning floors, and following security procedures and training requirements. The position is based at Siegel Select Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

Requirements

• Able to obtain a valid security license in applicable jurisdictions.
• Able to obtain a security belt, handcuffs, flashlight, and pepper spray.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work legally within state and federal guidelines.
• Able to stand and walk continuously throughout each shift.
• Able to bend, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Able to handle constant face-to-face customer interactions, multitask, and remain positive in busy working conditions.
• Schedule flexibility, including nights and weekends.
• Comply with brand and company uniform and hygiene policies.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of security experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report property activity.
• Use incident reports to document use of force, law enforcement activity, guest injuries, and property damage.
• Maintain a daily activity report documenting patrols, guest communication, property violations, safety concerns, light surveys, vacancy inspections, and other relevant information.
• Receive calls from management regarding operational changes, services, or general communication.
• Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors on an ongoing basis.
• Read and follow security procedures and protocols at all times.
• Attend all required continuing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Enforce property rules and regulations and escalate concerns to property management or law enforcement as necessary.
