About The Position

As a Security Officer Concierge Access Specialist in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a residential location, where you will greet residents and guests, monitor access points, support badge and visitor management, and help address security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and front desk support activities.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, check in guests and/or vendors, and communicate visitor policies in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site protocol.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate front desk logs, and support security-related communications with property management and/or emergency contacts.
