Security Officer Access Specialist
About The Position
As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Morehead, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support security-related operations through routine presence and strong communication. This role combines customer service with attention to detail as you help to deter incidents and assist visitors and staff. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific policies, managing access control procedures, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related conditions.
- Support retail operations by assisting with queue management, directing visitors and/or vendors, and helping to maintain orderly access at designated entry points.
