As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry and visitor interactions, monitor activity, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific access procedures, screening protocols, and security-related policies at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to control access to authorized areas across the facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, gate areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Document daily activity, access-related events, and unusual conditions, and report concerns involving people, vehicles, packages, and/or property in a timely manner.
