About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Jacksonville, Florida, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, assisting visitors and employees, and providing customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems and follow site procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols. The listed pay rate is $20.75 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Be subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and document required entries, deliveries, and incidents.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
