As a Security Officer - College Site in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, following campus policies, and responding to emergency-related situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with visitor direction and/or information, and report policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a positive learning environment by maintaining a visible presence, following Allied Universal standards, and completing assigned security-related duties across the location.
