College Station Security Officer
About The Position
Marksman Security is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Security Officers in College Station. Security Officers deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce rules. Responsibilities can include monitoring surveillance, patrolling areas, conducting security checks, protecting equipment and workers, and verifying credentials.
Requirements
- Must live in College Station.
- Must have 1 year of Security Experience.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to work on time.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must maintain a professional character and demeanor.
- Be a Team Player.
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to commit to the schedule you choose.
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8-hour periods.
- Must be able to do extensive walking and stair climbing.
- Must be able to lift up to 10lbs.
- Valid state licensing, if applicable.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Monitoring and surveillance experience.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in security or customer service fields.
- Previous security experience is not required however is a PLUS!
Responsibilities
- Deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce rules.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
- Patrol areas and conduct security checks.
- Provide protection for equipment and workers.
- Check credentials of vehicles and individuals.
- Perform foot or vehicle patrols to detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism, thefts, or other criminal behavior.
- Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, and announce visitors.
- Control access to the property.
- Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency.
- Provide customer service and access control.
- Monitor CCTV camera systems.
- Distribute packages.
