About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Security Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and help manage access control points by checking credentials, verifying authorized entry, documenting arrivals and departures, and/or communicating with site contacts regarding access requests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, parking areas, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Support gatehouse and/or entry operations by monitoring vehicle traffic, helping to control access to restricted areas, and documenting security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations.
