About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in Brookhaven, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily site operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication, all within a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building perimeters, parking areas, loading zones, and other assigned areas where conditions may vary.
  • Communicate with site contacts, transportation personnel, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access activity, unusual events, and/or operational concerns.
