About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screener in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, employees, and/or personal property for authorized entry in accordance with post instructions and applicable location procedures.
• Monitor entry points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation related to screening activity, visitor processing, and/or security-related incidents.
