Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification steps, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, process visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and document access-related activity to help support security-related operations at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, equipment zones, and other sensitive parts of the location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, reviewing access permissions, and/or observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering or leaving the site.
