About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle access, and support routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and visitor processing at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, materials, and/or operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document daily activity, access exceptions, and security-related incidents in logs and reports, following Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter zones, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
