Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at an educational location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, students, visitors, and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site instructions.
• Support a welcoming environment by assisting visitors with directions, answering general questions, and documenting incidents and/or daily activities in required reports.
