As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Response in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, respond to site needs, and deliver reliable service with agility, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe daily campus activity, and assist with directing visitors and/or addressing routine questions while supporting established location protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, completing required reports, and following post orders for scheduled rounds, incident response, and/or after-hours coverage.
