Security Officer Campus Ambassador
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Campus Ambassador in Los Angeles, California, to support an educational location. This unarmed patrol role involves maintaining a visible security presence, helping deter incidents, and providing professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The position pays $20.69 per hour and follows a schedule of Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The officer will conduct routine patrols, respond calmly to incidents and disturbances, communicate observations, and document activity according to site procedures. The role also includes monitoring access points, reporting hazards and policy violations, and assisting with directions, escorts, and general information. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A guard card or license and customer service experience are preferred. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, to the extent permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following security procedures and campus-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, campus disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, residence-adjacent areas, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate campus contacts.
- Assist with directions, escort requests, and general information while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
