About The Position

As a Security Officer - Badge Verification in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, attentive communication, and strong customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to control authorized access to the location in accordance with established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, and perimeter, remaining aware of unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns promptly.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining accurate access logs, issuing badges or credentials when appropriate, and providing clear directions and assistance to guests, vendors, and staff.
