Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for a busy logistics and distribution location, checking credentials, logging arrivals, and communicating access-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery disputes, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying approved entry, and reporting policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational disruptions.
