As a Security Officer - Badge Verification in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor gates, doors, dock areas, and other controlled access points to help support authorized access, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, warehouse areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, noting operational concerns, access issues, and security-related conditions that may require follow-up.
