Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related concerns in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, reporting unusual behavior, and following visitor and delivery procedures.
  • Document incidents and daily activities, communicate with site contacts and/or local responders as needed, and report maintenance, lighting, or access control issues that could impact the location.
