As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Our officers support a busy logistics and distribution location through access control, badge verification, routine patrols, and responsive customer service. In this role, you will help monitor site activity, help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or shipping-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location, trailer yards, and restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, vehicle entry documentation, and other required reports related to access control and site operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gate areas, and parking locations, with attention to changing conditions, traffic flow, and security-related concerns.
