As a Security Officer Badge Monitor in Theodore, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify badges, and support site access procedures. In this role, you will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor logs, document unusual activity, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including gates, trailer yards, parking areas, and shipping or receiving locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
