As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support badge-related processes. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine site observations, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, document visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, dock areas, trailer yards, and parking areas, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, reporting security-related concerns, and communicating clearly with site contacts, transport personnel, and Allied Universal leadership.
