Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help regulate authorized access, verify credentials, and report unusual or suspicious activity through proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and supporting site personnel during medical and/or security-related events.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for access control concerns, unsecured entry points, and conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Document incidents, visitor activity, and access-related events accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts in a timely manner.
