As a Security Officer Badge Validation in Cowpens, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will help manage access control, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, visitors, and staff. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and associate access as directed, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the sales floor, stock areas, exterior doors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support loss prevention and other security-related operations by reporting policy violations, assisting with crowd and line management, and maintaining clear communication with store leadership and Allied Universal teams.
