Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with residents, property management, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Support property rules and community standards by documenting daily activities, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and providing clear directions and assistance to residents and visitors.
