Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support access control, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, communication, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, gathering spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor visitor, member, and/or staff activity, assist with access control practices, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Support special events, services, and/or community gatherings by helping with orderly foot traffic, observing assigned areas, and following post orders and emergency procedures.
